Hidden Dip Honey is based in a secluded North Devon combe – one of the steep-sided, wooded valleys that lead down to the coast. It’s easy to get lost finding your way around the deep-set lanes and footpaths in this area (especially as direction signs don’t tend to last for long).
We chose the name Hidden Dip Honey partly because of this setting, and partly because we think once you’ve tasted the honey our bees produce you’ll be sneaking off with a teaspoon to have one more “hidden dip” whenever you get the chance….
There is a slightly less quaint inspiration behind the name as well – the road sign for a “hidden dip”, which we thought looked a bit like a teaspoon. Everything seemed to match up with the location and the product. and so the name was born.
